This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned Downstream Chemical Engineer to join our team at MatchaTalent as a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in conducting benchmarking and analyzing the performance of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Administer Solomon benchmarking studies for our manufacturing facilities.
- Collect, verify, and review data quality during benchmarking in our manufacturing facilities.
- Assess competitive positions based on Solomon benchmarking results.
- Document findings and recommendations for presentation to our management and affiliates.
- Lead the planning and execution of solutions to address identified performance gaps.
- Create expense/margin optimization plans for our manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with affiliates to establish performance targets and track progress using Solomon metrics.
- Evaluate the future impact of planned capital improvements.
- Develop regular benchmarking reports with Solomon metrics for all our manufacturing facilities.
- This role requires the candidate to relocate permanently to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in refinery and/or chemical process units with at least 5 years specializing in Solomon benchmarking and metric analysis.
- Essential working knowledge of refinery and chemical industry process plant characteristics.
- Ability to facilitate technical discussions and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools is essential.
