Job Title: Global Energy Engineer

This role requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where the company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Energy Engineer to provide energy management aspects for refinery and gas plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy engineering, with experience in refining oil and gas plants or petrochemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Benchmarking, building strategies, and business planning for energy management.
  • Conducting assessments in areas of safety and environmental compliance, cyber security, advanced process control and optimizations, energy and electrical efficiency, process engineering, reliability, and maintenance.
  • Developing an energy efficiency roadmap for oil and gas refineries and creating an energy baseline and defining Energy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to analyze energy performance.
  • Ensuring energy compliance and efficiency for each operating facility and developing and maintaining Energy Policy documents and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the refinery energy team to identify energy-saving opportunities and providing recommendations for achieving more energy-efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in refining oil and gas plants or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficiency in codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry, including API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of energy engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard and its requirements.
  • Working knowledge of oil/gas-related plant processes.
  • Familiarity with the development of energy efficiency roadmaps, energy baselines, and setting targets for energy key performance indicators.
