Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer Inspection and Testing to join our team in Canary Wharf. As an essential part of our on-site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of high-voltage electrical systems in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Excellence: Operate, monitor, and maintain all HV and LV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
  2. Maintenance Expertise: Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and BMS.
  3. Switching Operations: Conduct HV switching operations as per Safe Systems of Work.
  4. Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to technical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs.
  5. Collaboration: Liaise with external contractors, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records and logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  1. 18th Edition Wiring (Essential)
  2. Inspection and Testing 2391 (Desirable)
  3. City & Guilds BS 7671 or equivalent
  4. IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable)
  5. HVAP qualification (Desirable)
  6. Electrically qualified
  7. City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
  8. A proven track record in Building Maintenance working
  9. Good Communication Skills
  10. Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical
  11. Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc.
  12. Good Leadership & Management skills
