Job Overview:

Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emotional Wellbeing Support Specialist to join our team at a supportive and inclusive school in Wandsworth.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with students to support their emotional development and provide one-to-one or small group interventions for children experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional and social support to individual students or small groups
  • Interventions: Deliver tailored interventions to enhance emotional well-being and resilience
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to track and assess student progress
  • Student Development: Support students with developing key skills in emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
  • Liaison: Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible support for students

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a relevant subject from a top 30 UK University
  • Experience: Experience working with children in a school setting (ideally as an ELSA or in a similar role)
  • Skills: Strong understanding of child development and emotional literacy, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dedication: Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students' wellbeing
