About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across the region. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with a variety of learning needs, providing one-on-one and small group support tailored to helping them succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to create and implement individualized support plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere, encouraging students' confidence and independence.
  • Assist with classroom management and provide help with day-to-day tasks, ensuring students receive the care and support they need to thrive.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adapting support techniques to meet individual needs.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN is ideal, but not essential—your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are what matter most.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Resilience, patience, and a positive, proactive approach to tackling challenges in the classroom.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel).
