SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Ellesmere Port

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ellesmere Port. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a dynamic and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Support students with challenging behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Team Teach Qualification (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and 2 years' referencing.
