Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Academy Trust in Ellesmere Port. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students in secondary and SEN settings, working closely with teachers to provide high-quality support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lessons and activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning environment.
  • Support individual students and small groups, providing tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Help manage the classroom and prepare materials, maintaining a well-organized and safe learning space.
  • Encourage and support students' social and emotional growth, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing valuable insights to teachers and other support staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
