We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our client within a prison setting. The successful candidate will provide high-volume, low-intensity interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) self-management techniques to support clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Prison Service policies, contribute to risk management and public safety.
  • Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and manage all data in accordance with Data Management and Information Governance policies.
  • Follow all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Promote engagement with Rethink Mental Illness as a member, donor, or activist.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and notify your line manager of any concerns related to safeguarding or health and safety.
  • Regularly attend clinical and managerial supervision as agreed with your manager.
  • Engage in personal development and continuing professional development (CPD) with senior therapists.
  • Stay informed on guidelines from regulatory bodies and the Department of Health.
  • Comply with charity policies and external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Accredited as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with either the BPS or BABCP.
