About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Compliance Officer to join our team at Longleat. This role presents a wide range of work activities and H&S topics to become involved with, providing a mix of on-site and office-based work with both employee and guest focus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with a proven track record of compliance and risk management. They will be responsible for facilitating and promoting compliance with occupational health and safety legislative requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to queries and support managers and staff across the business to understand legislative requirements and practical ways of implementing such.
  • Carry out and document central risk assessments and equipment inspections and progress any recommendations that arise.
  • Assist departments with the creation and review of their risk assessments and equipment inspections.
  • Log incident reports on the central database and review them for any further required actions, supporting with investigations where required.
  • Provide internal H&S training to managers and staff and co-ordinate external training.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: The salary for this role is estimated to be between £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
