**Job Summary**

Scantec Personnel Limited is seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This is a contract role that offers a unique opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading construction and engineering solutions companies.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide expert civil and structural advice, conduct analysis, and prepare reports and specifications to support project delivery.
  • Lead small projects and take full technical responsibility for sub-tasks, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate closely with Building Information Modelling (BIM) teams, other disciplines, construction personnel, and stakeholders to effectively communicate designs and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Occasionally travel for site visits, design reviews, and client meetings across the region, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, driving their professional development and ensuring knowledge transfer.
  • Drive value engineering solutions, identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall project quality.

**Requirements**

  • At least 10 years of experience within the nuclear industry, covering all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Minimum of BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • CSCS certification required.
