Principal Civil/ Structural Engineer

We have an exciting new role for a Principal Engineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Manchester.

The role involves mainly structural projects, industrial buildings, but does require an all-rounder, capable of handling both civils and structural work.

Competitive salary, plus bonus scheme and pension. We offer a mixture of home and office working and a flexible working policy.

Key attributes for the role:

Ability to work unsupervised, under own initiative and to manage both internal staff and external contractors
Experience of successfully managing projects, including both internal and external resources, from cradle to grave
Experience of preparing fee proposals, project programmes and manging project commercials and client meetings
Past experience in structural/civil surveys, fatigue analysis, design and reporting
Ability to classify and assess structural defects, identify possible root cause(s) and produce technical report with recommendations
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 5-years design experience within a consultancy practice
Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IstructE
Experience of applying MS software and design software
Knowledge of Eurocodes and associated industry and group standards
Valid UK driving license
Able to work independently on various projects simultaneously
Demonstrate capability of working to multi-project programmes
