We have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioural and Emotional Learning Expert to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Middle School SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting primary aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to engage with education. About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a highly skilled and experienced teacher to work intensively with small groups of children with additional needs. As a Behavioural and Emotional Learning Expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, or other comorbid conditions. Your day will be varied, engaging children in the classroom to manage their own behaviour, complete their work, and reach their potential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, or other comorbid conditions
  • Work intensively with small groups of children to promote confidence and independence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of primary aged pupils
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Qualification in Teaching (QTS)
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, CSE, or other disabilities and needs
  • Proven ability to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of MAPA and Team Teach methodologies
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £42,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
