Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at TRCGroup. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of junior doctors, nurses, and support workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess inpatients' mental state, formulate diagnoses, and monitor risks.
  • Participate in referral meetings, case reviews, and develop effective treatment approaches.
  • Support the development of clinical pathways and provide consultation, advice, and support to professionals.
  • Contribute to the supervision of trainees and provide clinical supervision to specialty doctors.
  • Participate in the process of referral and admission, including preadmission assessment with the multi-agency team.
  • Contribute to specialist meetings and service strategy development.
  • Work autonomously and contribute to teaching sessions.
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
  • Section 12 approval preferred.
  • Specialist register preferred (general or forensic).
  • Approved clinical status.
  • Experience working within a MDT team.
