About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with their learning and manage their emotions and behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students with SEN, adapting materials and strategies to meet their specific needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and tracking the progress of students, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating their achievements.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and addressing any challenges appropriately.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
  • Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Patience, empathy, and an understanding approach to working with students.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
