Job Summary

At Austin Fraser, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Engagement Manager to join our team.

As a Community Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies to ensure a constant and varied program of activities is delivered to our residents.

About the Role

You will spend 80% of your time delivering vibrant activities to all residents across all units in the home. You will engage with the community to develop effective relationships, build strong external links within the local community, and organize local charity events hosted within the home.

You will work closely with the home team to promote the home with strong external links to the local community and charities. You will also lead on the design, development, and implementation of the home newsletter that reports on the home's events and activities of interest.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to ensure a constant and varied program of activities is delivered to our residents.
  • Deliver 80% of your working time on vibrant and meaningful activities across all units of the home with targeted programs that meet the needs of the resident groups.
  • Lead on the design, development, and implementation of the home newsletter that reports on the home's events and activities of interest.
  • Build strong and positive external links within the local community for the home.
Requirements
  • NVQ HSC level 3 or QCF HSC award 3 (or higher).
  • Experience of working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without dementia).
  • Experience delivering high-quality relationship-centered care.
  • Knowledge of and competence in core Microsoft Office applications.
  • Data management (for record keeping and review).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to support your career growth.
