International Grant Audit Manager

Accounting for International Development is seeking an experienced German-speaking audit professional to lead our international grant assurance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits and special assignments in various international locations, providing guidance to team members on public sector audit issues and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of public sector structures, legal frameworks, and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Lead the assignment process from planning to finalization, presenting audit findings and completing audit programs and files.
  • Prepare proposals for specific assignments within a framework contract.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior team members, contributing to office-based training sessions and developing training materials.

Requirements

  • Fluency in German and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in public sector audit, with a strong understanding of ISAs and legal frameworks.
  • Ability to travel internationally and work in a hybrid London/remote UK environment.
