Job Title: International Grant Audit Manager

AfID is seeking a highly skilled International Grant Audit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for conducting audits and special assignments in a wide range of locations, working with NGOs, public sector organisations, and institutional donors such as the United Nations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and special assignments in a sceptical but constructive manner, identifying findings and writing them up in a detailed, precise, and clear way in the assignment report.
  • Lead assignment fieldwork teams, including locally based staff, for large or complex assignments.
  • Prepare proposals for specific assignments within a framework contract and contribute to drafting tenders.
  • Identify potential opportunities for obtaining new work and take action to follow up with a manager/partner.
  • Develop internal contacts and demonstrate an awareness of the services offered by other departments in the firm.
Internal Development:
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to more junior team members throughout the assignment process.
  • Contribute to office-based training sessions, including development of training material.
  • Conduct induction training for new staff members and do job appraisals for more junior team members.
