Principal Quantity Surveyor

Gleeds Energy is seeking a highly skilled Principal Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team in Preston. As a key member of our defence sector team, you will play a critical role in the support and delivery of crucial defence-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract administration and contract advice, ensuring obligations under contract are met
  • Challenge and manage scope of changes, highlighting any commercial impact
  • Maintain awareness of key issues that can affect cost/time/quality
  • Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Conduct value engineering assessments to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
  • Ensure that all financial obligations are settled, and payments are made
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying; experience in the Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering (Including Service Contracting) sectors is desired but not essential
  • Ideal candidate will be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or a similar/relevant discipline
