About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team in Preston and contribute to the success of our clients in the defence sector.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer contracts, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Provide contract advice and ensure obligations under contract are met.
  • Challenge and manage scope of changes, highlighting any commercial impact.
  • Maintain awareness of key issues that can affect cost/time/quality.
  • Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct value engineering assessments to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Ensure that all financial obligations are settled, and payments are made.
About You
  • We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in the Nuclear/Civil engineering/Engineering sectors.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical industry in an infrastructure/defence environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ideal candidates will be HNC/HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying/Cost Management/Construction Law or similar discipline.
