Job Title: Speech Therapist for SEND School

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at an independent specialist school catering to students aged 6-18 with autism spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties.

About the Role:
  • This is a temporary position, offering competitive rates of £85-120 per day.
  • As a Speech Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the communication needs of our students, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

You will assess, plan, and deliver tailored interventions to enhance our students' social communication and language skills, developing and implementing individual and group therapy plans aligned with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).

In this role, you will also collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support for each student, offer guidance, resources, and training to staff and families to promote communication strategies, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports.

Requirements:
  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
  • Proven experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or specialist setting
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum conditions and associated communication challenges
