**Speech and Language Therapist Opportunity in a Vibrant Primary School in Peckham**


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to support students with special educational needs at our primary school in Peckham. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students, enhancing their communication skills and overall wellbeing.


The ideal candidate will have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the relevant professional body. Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work collaboratively with our teaching staff and other professionals to provide high-quality support to our students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs, tailoring therapy plans to address individual requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective therapy interventions, working closely with students on a 1:1 basis to enhance their communication skills in both social and academic contexts.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to integrate speech and language support within the classroom setting.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and classroom assistants on strategies to facilitate communication and language development among all students.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on student progress and communicate findings to parents and guardians.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in speech and language therapy.

**Salary:** £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
