GSL Education, a leading education provider in Manchester, seeks an experienced and compassionate individual to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Description

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate challenging behavior. A valid DBS registered on the update service is essential.

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. SEM Support: Provide emotional support to students who require SEMH support.
  2. Behaviour Management: Manage challenging behaviour with confidence and professionalism.
  3. Curriculum Support: Assist with Maths, English, and Science lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in secondary schools, preferably with SEMH support or Youth Work background.
  • DBS Update Service: A valid DBS registered on the update service is essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £20,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
