Powys County Council: Community Co-ordinator Role
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Co-ordinator. This role will focus on strengthening community development and partnership working to enhance opportunities and services for children, young people, and families in Powys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement projects, activities, and events to support transformational and sustainable cultural change in the community.
- Provide project management for the development and delivery of community-focused initiatives, including the Children First model and the Flying Start programme.
- Manage and oversee the operation of a family centre in Welshpool, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to families.
- Engage with children, young people, and families to develop community projects, activities, and events that meet their needs.
- Work effectively with stakeholders, local services, schools, and organizations to facilitate and support community-focused projects and events.
Requirements:
- Strong child/young person/family-centred focus.
- Commitment to quality services.
- Flexible attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and partnerships internally and externally.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a busy and complex workload.
