About the Role

PinkNews is the leading LGBTQ+ media brand, and we're looking for a talented Growth and Publishing Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our content team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and growing our online communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Growth and Publishing Lead in ensuring the publishing of high-quality, high-volume content output across all PN-owned and operated social channels, with a primary focus on Snapchat and TikTok.
  • Contribute to overall growth and publishing strategy across all social channels.
  • Expert use of data and analytics to inform strategy.
  • Contribute to monthly content reports.
  • Publish daily on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Source viral, funny, unique, or satisfying UGC videos.
  • Liaise with third-party content providers to license content.
  • Responsible for UGC channels, collaborating with Producers for original reactions and editing and posting said content.
  • Pitch relevant news or features stories daily.
  • Video editing using Premiere Pro.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years in social media content creation and/or publishing.
  • Ability to work independently to support the team, being proactive and offering support as needed.
  • Interested in developing a career in social video content creation and social media strategy.
  • Native understanding of social platforms such as Snapchat, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Experience in generating organic growth on a personal/brand social account.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and/or Canva.
  • Understanding of media law and licensing of online content.
  • A keen interest in LGBTQ+ culture, both pop and political.
  • An eye for viral content amongst a range of social platforms.
  • Experience in Meta/Snap/TikTok/YT strategy.
  • Knowledge of Gen Z culture, pop-culture, and trending influencers.
