About Our Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Safeguarding team in Kingston and Richmond. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who are subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children and young people in need, including those subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans
  • Building strong relationships with families, their support networks, and partner agencies
  • Conducting regular assessments, writing threshold applications, and chairing meetings
  • Ensuring children and young people are actively involved in our work and their voice is captured in our case recording
  • Participating in reflective supervision and group supervision

About You

  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Resilient worker able to work effectively in a team or independently
  • Confident and competent in relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks
  • Evidence of championing inclusion and diversity
  • Solution-focused with the ability to deal with sensitive issues
