About the Role

Achieving for Children is seeking a skilled social worker to join its expanding Independent Fostering Agency in Kingston. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing a range of fostering services, including recruitment, assessment, training, and supervision/support. Your primary focus will be on safely placing and working towards permanency plans for children, while also contributing to the development of our service.

About You

  • You will hold a professional qualification (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and be actively registered with Social Work England, with a proven commitment to continuing professional development.
  • You will have knowledge and experience in working with current legislation and regulations, particularly fostering regulations and national minimum standards.
  • You will possess excellent assessment, communication, and report writing skills, with experience in completing thorough assessments, including Form F/C and special guardianship assessments.
  • You will have a strong ability to build partnerships, maintain relationships, and work with a range of professionals, especially foster carers.
