We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Macmillan Health Team, providing person-centered care in the community setting and supporting the Band 2 MCHT. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a compassionate team who deliver end of life services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient's personal care up to 4 visits a day over 7-days a week and offer night sits.
  • Care for patients who are at the end of their life journey and choose to remain at home, with compassion and sensitivity.
  • Nurture independence where ever possible, preserving the patient's sense of control and pride.
  • Respect the individual's wishes and secure consent for our activities.

Working with Our Team

The Macmillan Health Care Assistant Band 3 is an experienced member of the team, working alongside the community nursing team to undertake person-centered care in the community setting and supporting the Band 2 MCHT.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 health and social care qualification.
  • Experience of working in a health or social care setting for a minimum of 1 month.
  • Completed mandatory training.
  • Driving licence with less than 6-points.
