Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Chief Medical Officer's Office as a Medical Rota Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating Junior Doctors' rotas, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the Working Time Directive (WTD).

The post holder will provide support to the Guardian of Safe Working in the recording and processing of exception reports and in the production of quarterly reports. In conjunction with the Clinical Collaboratives, the post holder will ensure that rota gaps are covered by internal or external locums where required.

The post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and courteously with a range of internal / external stakeholders on a daily basis including Medical and Dental staff and other Healthcare Professionals.

About the Role

The Medical Rota Co-ordinator will be responsible for:

  • Managing and co-ordinating Junior Doctors' rotas
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
  • Providing support to the Guardian of Safe Working
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
