Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Community Safety Officer to join our team at Stratford District Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing projects, policies, and approaches to local issues, working closely with partners to achieve community safety priorities.

The role includes:

  • Developing new approaches and finding problem-solving solutions to community safety problems;
  • Leading, facilitating, or participating in projects;
  • Identifying data to justify proposals and producing reports;
  • Identifying funding opportunities and preparing funding bids;
  • Working closely with partners, including Police, Councils, Housing Associations, businesses, and the voluntary and community sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully delivering projects, ideally within a community safety environment, and be skilled at building relationships and gaining the trust and support of statutory partners, businesses, and the community sector.
