Job Title: Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Assistant to work with children aged 4-16 years with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school in Southport.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN. As an Education Support Assistant, you will work closely with qualified teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support to students with varying learning difficulties, physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and other special needs.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, adapting learning materials and resources to meet their individual needs.
  3. Assist with classroom management, implement strategies to support student engagement and behavior, and foster a positive and encouraging environment.
  4. Support students with personal care and daily activities as required.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and report any concerns to the teacher or SENCO.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and how to support students effectively.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a passion for helping children succeed.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £85+ per annum, dependent on experience. Axcis offers a supportive and inclusive work environment, opportunities for professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.
