Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to join our Rig Aftermarket (RA) Team at NOV Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV Rig equipment globally, both offshore and onshore. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is a home-based position within mainland UK, with frequent travel required to support installation and commissioning projects on products ranging from Rig Floor Equipment (RFE), and Pressure Control Equipment (PCE). The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training on product lines by NOV training personnel and gain on-the-job experience accompanied by experienced NOV Service Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escalate key faults or product failures to relevant departments and progress through to resolution.
  • Inspect NOV equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Respond to emergency calls for Rig Down situations when required.

Requirements

  • Time-served Engineer (essential).
  • HNC in a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent (desirable).

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for career progression and professional development.
