Manufacturing Quality Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at DP World Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the production process as efficiently and effectively as possible, ensuring that the finished products are safe, dependable, and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input on processes for a quality perspective and assist in the implementation of new processes.
- Develop and design corrective actions for problems and establish a problem-solving technique to reduce process variation.
- Gather data from customers and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.
- Support operational teams to ensure prompt and robust actions are initiated.
- Champion lean engineering goals and implement and maintain a lean culture within the organization.
- Administer all projects and documentation (quality system) relative to assigned processes/launches.
- Maintain and update the Quality System in line with ISO 9001 requirements and oversee any required actions.
- Mentor and support the organization on Quality-related tools such as problem-solving tools, Risk Management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
- A background in an automotive or logistics industry is preferred.
- ISO 9001 or 16949 Auditor trained and qualified is essential.
- Experience in auditing is preferred.
- Risk management using tools such as FMEA.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally educated to degree level, in a relevant field.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- Lean Six Sigma experience would be beneficial.
