About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to maintain the production process as efficiently and effectively as possible, ensuring that finished products are safe, dependable, and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input on processes for a quality perspective and assist in the implementation of new processes.
  • Develop and design corrective actions for problems and establish a problem-solving technique to reduce process variation.
  • Gather data from the customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.
  • Support operational teams to ensure prompt and robust actions are initiated.
  • Champion lean engineering goals and implement and maintain a lean culture within the organization.
  • Administer all projects and documentation (quality system) relative to assigned processes/launches.
  • Maintain and update the Quality System in line with ISO 9001 requirements and oversee any required actions.
  • Mentor and support the organization on Quality-related tools such as problem-solving tools, Risk Management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
  • A background in an automotive or logistics industry is preferred.
  • ISO 9001 or 16949 Auditor trained and qualified is essential.
  • Experience in auditing is preferred.
  • Risk management using tools such as FMEA.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally educated to degree level, in a relevant field.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience would be beneficial.
