Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to maintain the production process as efficiently and effectively as possible, ensuring that the finished products are safe, dependable, and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input on processes for a quality perspective and assist in the implementation of new processes.
- Develop and design corrective actions for problems and establish a problem-solving technique to reduce process variation.
- Gather data from the customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.
- Support operational teams to ensure prompt and robust actions are initiated.
- Champion lean engineering goals and implement and maintain a lean culture within the organization.
- Administer all projects and documentation relative to assigned processes/launches.
- Maintain and update the Quality System in line with ISO 9001 requirements and oversee any required actions.
- Mentor and support the organization on Quality-related tools such as problem-solving tools, Risk Management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
- A background in an automotive or logistics industry is preferred.
- ISO 9001 or 16949 Auditor trained and qualified is essential.
- Experience in auditing is preferred.
- Risk management using tools such as FMEA.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
- Lean Six Sigma experience would be beneficial.
