About the Supply & Demand Team

The Supply and Demand Team is responsible for the planning and realization of all inbound and outbound goods and materials in the business. We forecast and demand plan customer requirements, manage the production plan in the factories, and report on all elements.

Senior Demand & Materials Planner Role

As a Senior Demand and Materials Planner, you'll be a key part of the Supply Chain. Your responsibilities will include creating, maintaining, and running forecasting activities associated with key accounts and placing orders for inbound materials to meet the demand plan. You'll also manage and report on stock cover for finished SKUs and components for your accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop demand forecasts from customer forecasts, reviewing historical sales trends, promotion plans, and other known activities, adjusting the operational forecast.
  • Use and maintain the demand planning software as the primary forecasting system tool, enter and modify data, and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy.
  • Advise and support the Demand and Materials Planner.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
  • Interact with sales, product, and commercial teams to understand demand forecast drivers, working collaboratively to obtain and ensure current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Order materials and components to meet the demand plan, ensuring materials arrive in good time, expediting and de-expediting purchase orders to adjust deliveries to suit a changing demand plan.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with Supply Planning.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues, and managers.
  • Help promote a positive working atmosphere within the company.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness as a member of the Planning Team through consistent professional conduct and role model behavior.

Requirements

  • Track record in a demand planning role.
  • Experience in purchase order management.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing customer forecasts and modeling scenarios based on indexing, trends, and historic data.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to quickly prioritize tasks.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
