Job Title: Materials Planner

Job Summary:
Direct Response Employment Services is seeking a skilled Materials Planner to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate MRP to coordinate cost-effective purchasing at minimal risk.
* Check MTP and raise sub-con works orders.
* Ensure all order confirmations are received and processed within agreed timescales.
* Notify planning team and demand team when purchases are at risk.
* Review exceptions via MRP to determine inbound purchase at risk.
* Communicate price and lead time variations to the procurement team.
* Attend relevant meetings to ensure MRP can be evaluated correctly.
* Follow strategy of purchase agreements or implemented by the procurement team.
* Review and action any invoice queries provided by finance.
* Coordinate purchase returns and replacement purchase orders instructed by the procurement team.

Requirements:
* Problem-solving skills.
* Materials planning experience or similar.
* CIPS or relevant certification.
