About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team as a key member of our manufacturing operations department. As a manager, you will play a vital part in driving operational excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimisation
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise current manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training and coaching of cross-functional teams on process improvement techniques.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve key business metrics such as product yield and wRMA rate.
  • Six Sigma Implementation
  • Lead the implementation of six sigma programmes and initiatives across the manufacturing facility, establishing and maintaining six sigma standards, and driving compliance and adherence to these standards.
  • Design and implement effective shop floor layouts to support new product introduction and process re-engineering of existing products.
  • Determine special purpose and standard tooling requirements to support the manufacture of all products and implement as required.
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date manufacturing shop floor documentation in alignment with company standards and issues identified by Team Leaders.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure the supply of high-quality sub-assembly products and services.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of New Product Introductions (NPI) & Engineering changes, and the productionisation and repeatability of both product & processes.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Expertise
  • Develop expertise in critical business processes and technologies, share knowledge and experience with colleagues, and provide training and guidance for other engineers.

About You

We are looking for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong background in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in manufacturing engineering or a related field, advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, and experience in utilising structured problem-solving methodologies.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including private health insurance, dental insurance, group pension, cycle-to-work scheme, tech and care schemes, and numerous discounts.
