At Prodrive, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Support Engineer to provide top-notch engineering support to our GT3 customers competing globally.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering support to customers on events and tests, including programming of electronic control units and setting of car systems to maximize performance and reliability.
- Ensure efficient operation of the car, powertrain, and systems by the customer.
- Ensure the car complies with technical regulations and event-specific regulations.
- Provide planning and technical input to the customer and assist with event preparation, car setup, operating standards, and sporting topics.
- Ensure the spares package is suitable for the event and maintain mileage records with the customer to maximize performance and reliability.
- Prepare post-event reports, including event and performance analysis of the car and team.
- Prepare high-quality technical documentation and details of technical updates and releases to customers.
- Maintain the highest level of customer interaction.
- Be responsible for maintaining the office environment and team member appearance and behavior according to Prodrive standards.
- Be proactive in the development and improvement of internal systems to improve efficiency and quality.
- Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mechanical or Automotive Engineering).
- A minimum of 2 years' recent experience working in a similar role for a manufacturer or customer team in WRC, ERC, or Rally Raid.
- A can-do approach, with a positive attitude and the ability to identify alternative solutions to problems.
- A desire to travel and experience some of the best motorsport events globally.
- Confidence in working and traveling alone, managing travel plans, and being self-sufficient.
- Ability to integrate well into different customer teams and respect their culture.
- Surpassing customer expectations and delivering the highest level of support in challenging environments.
- Creativity in finding new ways of doing things and learning from past experiences.
