At Prodrive, we're seeking a skilled Engine Build Technician to support our Motorsport Engine Team in assembling high-performance race and rally engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stripping, preparation, and assembly of multi-cylinder race and rally engines, including the Dakar V6, Aston Martin V8 twin turbo GTE, GT3 & GT4, Subaru P25, and Ferrari GT1 V12.
  • Taking the engine through the build process from stripping, cleaning, inspection, preparation, reassembly, dyno, and pre-delivery inspection.
  • Ability to work on all areas of the engine, including cylinder heads, pumps, and throttles.
  • Building engines to specification and within homologation tolerances.
  • Maintaining build records and lifecheck systems.
  • Identifying and addressing quality issues.
  • Liaising with engineers when required.
  • Visiting customer teams at their workshops or trackside for support or repairs, which may involve traveling abroad.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Motorsport, building race or rally engines within a professional engine building environment.
  • A motor vehicle or engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to tight deadlines, be an excellent team worker, and be flexible and willing to attend race events if required.
