Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Chertsey.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging and interactive Religious Education lessons to students of varying abilities (Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5).

  1. Lecture Planning: Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to promote student engagement and achievement.
  2. Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing effective strategies for improvement.
  3. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver an inspiring curriculum that aligns with national standards and the school's objectives.

The Role Includes:

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level, preferably within a mainstream school.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest educational practices.
