Teaching Role for a Religious Education Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Religious Education teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Chertsey.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for Religious Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive Religious Education lessons to students of varying abilities (Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5)
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to promote student engagement and achievement
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing effective strategies for improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver an inspiring curriculum that aligns with national standards and the school's objectives
  • Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive and collaborative learning community
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Religious Education or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level, preferably within a mainstream school
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Understanding and knowledge of the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for Religious Education and achieve their academic goals
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest educational practices
