Job Description

As a Maritime Platforms Engineer at Spinwell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and structural integrity of submarines. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the public sector and contribute to the development of cutting-edge maritime technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong background in engineering, particularly in submarine structures and systems. The ideal candidate will have a Level 6 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or significant relevant experience, as well as professional registration in line with current SDA Policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that in-service submarines remain safe to operate, managing key hazard areas such as Structural Strength, and assessing OPDEFs for their impact on stability and manoeuvring. They will also develop design changes to improve safety or capability, review design changes for impact on structural strength, and provide submarine structures advice and input to Submarine Enterprise projects.
