About the Role

We are seeking a Low Voltage Power Specialist to join our team in Bristol, UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in designing and optimizing low voltage power distribution systems for naval applications.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with other engineering disciplines to design and develop bespoke electrical power systems for our customers. As a Low Voltage Power Specialist, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to delivery, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize low voltage power distribution systems for naval applications
  • Lead projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in electrical design and optimization, particularly in naval applications
  • Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical power distribution systems, including components and sub-assemblies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and RR locations as required

Benefits
