Farm Support Assistant

Larkin Farm is a state-of-the-art educational facility located at Abbey Court School, providing a unique learning experience for students with Severe Learning Difficulties.
The farm is home to a diverse range of animals, including sheep, goats, pigs, horses, donkeys, rabbits, and chickens, offering a hands-on approach to animal husbandry and horticulture education.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the welfare of the farm animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver educational programs on animal care and horticulture.
- Support the management of the school, promoting the use of the farm as an educational resource.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational activities and programs.
- Commit to the full working hours of the post, ensuring continuity and consistency of support.
- Undergo comprehensive training and induction to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
- Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing the safety and well-being of students.
