We are currently seeking a skilled Fire and Security Systems Technician to become a vital part of our team at Dalkia UK. This full-time, permanent role will focus on servicing the Edinburgh area and its surroundings.

Role Overview

· Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), address Reactive Maintenance, and manage emergency situations in line with contractual obligations concerning Fire and Security Systems.

· Exhibit responsiveness and collaboration to achieve designated tasks.

· Contribute to a unified team dedicated to delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform PPM according to established schedules, ensuring engineering standards are upheld to maximize the operational efficiency and reliability of Fire and Security Systems.

· Comply with engineering standards as mandated by the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA).

· Ensure adherence to onsite Quality Assurance protocols and maintain precise records related to Fire and Security Systems.

· Respond promptly and effectively to all relevant reactive maintenance requests and help desk inquiries.

· Coordinate initial actions for all client requests.

· Manage visits from specialist subcontractors related to Fire and Security Systems within the PPM schedules.

· Address call-outs and manage breakdowns and emergencies as necessary.

· Conduct fault diagnosis associated with PPM or Reactive maintenance.

· Provide assistance to other trades as required.

· Organize workload and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Generate reports concerning work and equipment as needed.

· Undertake miscellaneous tasks as requested by the client.

· Actively pursue opportunities for contract growth, including System Upgrades, Like-for-Like replacements, and Project works.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

· All personnel are expected to fulfil their legal obligations to ensure their own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be impacted by their actions. Compliance with all health and safety guidance and instructions is mandatory. Detailed responsibilities are outlined in the Health & Safety Policy.

Qualifications and Experience

The qualifications, skills, and experience pertinent to this role include:

Essential Requirements:

· Completion of a Fire & Security Apprenticeship (or equivalent certification).

· Training in Health and Safety practices.

· GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.

· Relevant industry experience in maintenance duties, including fault diagnosis and preventative measures.

· Comprehensive experience with fire alarm systems, supported by relevant certification.

· Proficiency in both IP and analogue CCTV systems.

· Valid IPAF training and Chapter 8 ECS card.

Desirable Qualifications:

· City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent.

· Experience in IT and Networking.

· Supervisory experience for future career development.
