Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering commercial tasks and supporting the company in achieving a successful financial outcome on projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver commercial tasks as directed to support the company in achieving a successful financial outcome on projects.
- Work with a minimum of supervision to deliver commercial activities as assigned by a more senior member of the commercial team.
- Interpret and assimilate commercial information to produce required reports, documentation, and support management decision making.
- Use company-wide Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and commercial policies and procedures to manage commercial activity.
- Comply with national laws and regulations and adhere to company-wide BOPs to ensure that commercial management activity is conducted in line with standardised working procedures.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of commercial metrics to facilitate management decision making.
- Look for opportunities for efficiency savings and development, and contribute to project reviews/lessons learnt to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain an internal and external relationship network to leverage expertise, contribute to decision making, and satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- Take accountability for personal Professional Development Record as part of Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics' talent management ethos.
- Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of staff related to technical execution of their roles to support the development of the next level of talent within the organisation.
- MSc, BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or in a related commercial, technical or engineering discipline.
- Accredited post graduate training qualifying towards professional registration of a recognised professional institution.
- Experience in contract administration procedures and knowledge of various forms of contract, including an understanding of contract law and UK construction laws.
- Knowledge and application of Business Operating Procedures (including an in-depth understanding of commercial policies, procedures, standards and working practices) appropriate to allotted tasks and associated documentation.
- Knowledge and application of problem solving and risk management techniques and an understanding of dispute resolution processes.
