Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Whitehaven, Cumbria. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Planning and Budgeting: Manage and oversee the cost planning, budgeting, and cost control processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contract Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations in accordance with project requirements.
  • Project Analysis: Analyze and report on project costs, risks, and budget performance to inform decision-making.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying in a related field.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Software: Familiarity with project management software and tools.
