Community Physiotherapy Opportunities

IMC Locums is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to provide high-quality care to patients in community settings. As a Community Physiotherapist, you will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with mobility, rehabilitation, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To provide specialist assessment and treatment to patients referred to the community rehabilitation service.
  2. To provide physiotherapy treatment and advice for patients in community settings.
  3. Experience in community rehabilitation, including falls, frailty, MSK, and Neuro.
  4. Participate in triage and assessment of patients for community rehabilitation services.
  5. To provide advice regarding patient care and treatment to families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Responsibility for a caseload of patients and referral or discharge as necessary.
  7. Carry out triage autonomously with support from senior therapists.
  8. To support junior staff and students as appropriate.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent).
  2. Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  3. Previous experience working in community physiotherapy settings.
  4. Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Full UK driving license and access to a car.

Desirable:

  1. Previous experience in locum or agency roles.
  2. Experience working with elderly patients or those with chronic conditions.
  3. Knowledge of NHS systems and pathways for community rehabilitation.
