About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist - Consultant to join our team at Regent House, providing expert care to individuals with complex mental health needs in South Lanarkshire.

Job Overview

As a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist psychiatric services to adults aged 16-65 years old
  • Collaborating with Social Work staff, community psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Evaluating and addressing the mental health needs of service users, implementing evidence-based interventions as required
  • Participating in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, share best practices, and enhance overall service delivery

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong background in adult psychiatry, with a focus on complex mental health conditions
  • Excellent clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • Able to work effectively within a dynamic team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands

What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and a supportive working environment.
