About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Revenue and Property Team as a Revenue and Property Officer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our temporary accommodation services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the rent accounts of residents in temporary accommodation to ensure maximum benefit uptake and reduced levels of rent arrears.
  • Visit customers in their temporary accommodation and communicate with them by telephone to discuss their rent accounts and provide support.
  • Meet with service users to complete the necessary paperwork for their temporary furnished flats, including occupancy agreements, Housing Benefit applications, and explaining tenancy rules and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with vulnerable individuals.
  • Problem-solving skills and computer literacy.
  • Experience of Housing Benefit legislation and debt management is desirable.
